  • Penetrating oil
  • Jack lift
  • Spring compressor
  • Coil spring removal tool
  • Socket wrench: 16, 18, 19mm
  • Spanner: 16, 18mm
  • Torx: T25
  • Super expander tool: DS. 11A
  • Shock absorber tool:
    Passage socket: 19mm
    Socket wrench insert: 9mm

VOLKSWAGEN GOLF IV FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER REPLACEMENT STEPS

  1. Raise the vehicle using a transmission jack lift
  2. Disconnect the wiring and brake hose from the shock mount
  3. Remove the old shock absorber
  4. Set up the new shock absorber
  5. Mount the new shock absorber in the wheel arch

  1. Raise the vehicle using a transmission jack lift
  2. Remove the old shock absorber
  3. Set up the new shock absorber and coil spring
  4. Install the new coil spring
